When I reached out to our Facebook group to find out which course you all wanted next, pet portrait mastery was a clear favorite.Ā
It's easy to see why. Capturing our furry friends in art is both a delightful and intricate skill. While pets are a popular subject, theyāre also not the easiest to master.
Putting together this course was quite the journey. It's probably the most in-depth one I've created so far. Getting those fine details just right - and teaching them in a way that's simple enough for beginners - was a challenge.

Exercise 3: The dog - Shiny coats and complex features

Every artist once started as an apprentice learning the tools of the trade, so thatās where youāll start, too. This less is a brief, but in-depth look at some of the most important tools in the Procreate program. Getting models that work with Procreate out of the box is quite tricky as the feature is so new. As demonstrated in the video below, the UV mapping of the models you can buy and download on the 3D model libraries online is not configured to be Procreate compatible in most cases. You'll sometimes encounter difficulties such as incomplete color fills, messy lines etc. while using any of the Procreate painting tools.
