Hello! In today's tutorial, we are going to create a simple lettering art using a free snow brush and a couple of brushes from the Effortless Flower Brush Set. Before we begin, download all the tutorial files to your Files App. Please make sure that you're on your iPad when you do this.

Tap on the zip file and it will create an unzipped folder. You'll find the tutorial PDF, template, free brushes, and the swatch palette. Tapping on the brush file and swatch palette should automatically import them into Procreate. Save the template by tapping on the file, and tapping on the send button on the top bar. Choose Save Image.

Step 1: Then create a 3000 x 3000-pixel canvas and import the template file. Change the background color and use the Noise brush in the middle to create a focal point in a light blue color. Lock this layer so we don’t accidentally draw on it. Then import the lettering template that we’ll use as a guide.

Step 2: Add a new layer. Use the snow brush and set the primary and secondary colors from the swatch palette provided. This is a dual-color brush and the colors will appear depending on how much pressure you exert while drawing.

After setting the primary and secondary colors, remember to tap the primary color again, so that Procreate uses that as the active color. Then practice tracing the Lettering Template. It doesn’t have to be perfectly the same, just use it as a guide. Take as much time as you need to get it just the way you like it.

Step 3: When you’re happy with how your lettering looks. Add some snow drops around it. Then lock the layer. Now, create a new layer for the leaves. Change your brush to Foliage 7 and choose the color duo from the swatch palette provided.

After setting the primary and secondary colors, remember to tap the primary color again, so that Procreate uses that as the active color. Make sure that your Dynamic Scaling is turned on when you're using this brush set. You can find this under Actions > Preferences.

Draw the leaf with minimal pressure first, add more pressure in the middle and slowly ease off as you get to the end. Continue making more leaves around your lettering. Again you can deviate and do your own thing. As long as the lettering is still visible and readable.

Add a new layer. Now switch to Pollen 8 brush. Change the color duo to red and light pink. To create the berries just tap and adjust your pressure to make it big or small. Vary the size and keep it close to the stem so it looks natural.

Then switch to Pollen 4 and change the color duo again. This time to a light green and dark green combination. Again gently tap on top of the cherries. Place it on different locations, not just in the middle of the berries. It will look more natural this way.

Step 4: When you’re happy with how the garlands look, merge the layers. Using the Soft brush in a light blue color, add some snow around the canvas. You can also add more random snow using the default Driven Snow brush.

You can also add some snowflakes using the symmetry tool. To do this, add a new layer and then go to Actions > Canvas > enable the drawing guide. Tap on Drawing Guide > Choose Symmetry > Options > Radial. You can move the center of this guide to where you want to draw your snowflakes. Use the Snow Lettering Monoline brush to draw the snowflakes. Create a new assisted layer for each snowflake you make.

When you’re done, add shadows by duplicating the layer, then go to Adjustments > Hue, Saturation, Brightness. Lower the brightness until it looks dark. Move this layer so that it’s slightly visible under the original garland layer.

Then go back to Adjustments > and apply Gaussian Blur. Move your Pencil left and right until you achieve a good soft shadow. Do this for the lettering layer and the snow layer as well. Lower the opacity so that the shadow looks blue instead of gray.
